SFR Implements NeuStar Solution, TierOne Completes Network Reconciliation for Allstream, and More

France’s SFR Implements NeuStar Solution
NeuStar was selected by SFR to provide NeuStar’s Mobile Messaging Gateway solution, which enables operators to roll out PC-based IM solutions to the mobile environment quickly and easily. The two companies have brought Windows Live Messenger to SFR’s 18 million customers in France, as SFR customers now will be able to access Windows Live Messenger directly from their mobile phones using the same login information and the same feature-rich experiences and buddy lists that they would on their desktop PCs. Users can download the service from the SFR Web site to a number of mobile handsets.

TierOne Completes Network Reconciliation for Allstream
TierOne OSS Technologies Inc. completed a network reconciliation program at MTS Allstream, one of Canada’s leading national communication solutions providers. TierOne utilized Lavastorm’s business and revenue assurance software product, BRAIN, to reduce the time, cost and risk implications of coding a bespoke solution while ensuring the successful delivery of phase one results within a matter of weeks.

The first phase of the network reconciliation project involved proving that the adaptive application of Lavastorm’s software solution rapidly would produce the information required to reconcile network elements with back-end database information. Phase two of the project involved applying that solution more widely across the network based on the results of the network reconciliation project to minimize costs and maximize network effectiveness for customers.

ANI Networks Licenses Equinox Information Systems Solution
ANI Networks Inc. deployed a suite of software applications including TeleScope, TeleAlert, Manager and TeleLink from Equinox. The applications provide ANI Networks with a platform for mediation and usage record management. The applications process almost 4 million usage records daily from a cluster of Alcatel MegaHub and Sonus switches. TeleScope analyzes traffic from both a network and financial perspective; TeleAlert alerts carriers to suspicious and irregular call activity; Manager monitors network performance and activity in detail by analyzing usage data; and TeleLink filters and converts usage data records to the appropriate data formats for downstream OSS.

Vodafone Turkey Deploys Tektronix’s Unified Assurance
The GeoProbe network assurance platform and Advanced Performance Monitoring (APM) product has been implemented at Vodafone Turkey. Both GeoProbe and APM are part of Tektronix’s Unified Assurance suite of applications for management of next-generation converged networks. Tektronix’s monitoring system will enable Vodafone Turkey to detect bottlenecks, abnormal situations and performance degradation within its GPRS and GSM networks.

VivaCell Implements MACH’s Financial Clearing and IOT Check
VivaCell, a subsidiary of Mobile TeleSystems, has invested in MACH IOT Check, which proactively ensures that Inter-Operator Tariffs (IOTs) are correct when a user is roaming. MACH IOT Check ensures VivaCell is proofed against incorrect tariffs, and that their subscribers don’t incur excess roaming charges.

VivaCell’s adoption of MACH Finance and IOT Check runs alongside MACH Data Clearing. MACH Data Clearing enables VivaCell and other mobile operators to exchange billing and settlement information on which the whole business concept of international roaming is based.
