Tim McElligottWhether you remember Frank Sinatra’s version or Jimmy Durante’s – no one remembers Frances Williams’ – almost everyone remembers these familiar lyrics from the song, “As Time Goes By:”
You must remember this.
A kiss is just a kiss, a sigh is just a sigh.
The fundamental things apply
As time goes by
.

Besides being wrong – a sigh is not always just a sigh – those words are mostly for saps and romantics. Geeks like us may remember the opening lines to the song. They’re steeped in science and technology and they still ring true today.
This day and age we're living in
Gives cause for apprehension
With speed and new invention
And things like fourth dimension
Yet we get a trifle weary
With Mr. Einstein's theory.

So what does Jimmy Durante have to do with B/OSS 2011? They say – whomever they are – that the older you get, the faster time goes by. The lucky ones among us will be a year older next year when its time for the next B/OSS Conference. That’s going to get here PDQ.

So we wanted to say with great pride and anticipation that the B/OSS Conference 2001 will have a return engagement at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center, June 15-17, 2011. That’s just 324 days from today.

Three hundred and twenty-four days. It is never too early to start thinking about topics you would like to hear discussed and highlighted at the show, so feel free to send your ideas and comments along to heyBOSS@vpico.com.
