BELL ATLANTIC, NYNEX, CAI SUSPEND AGREEMENT

Bell Atlantic, Nynex, and CAI Wireless Systems have suspended a 1995 agreement to develop wireless video networks. The pact has been suspended one year as Bell Atlantic and Nynex claim to be "re-evaluating" their decision to use CAI's MMDS rather than building a fiber optic video network. Bell Atlantic and Nynex have also suspended their launch of wireless video in Boston and Hampton Roads, Va. Both RBOCs are currently involved in separate fiber optic-based video technology systems.
