CWI LAUNCHES SERVICE IN SAN DIEGO

Cable and Wireless Inc. (CWI) has launched combined local and long distance service in the San Diego area. CWI now offers combined service in New York City, Connecticut, Los Angeles, San Jose, San Francisco and San Diego. CWI will provide a single point of contact for customers as well as a consolidated bill. This announcement follows a similar announcement made by MCI, which has also entered the local market in Los Angeles, San Francisco and San Diego to provide bundled services and consolidated billing.
