ATS, PAC BELL TO MARKET SIMCALL

Advanced Technologies and Services, Inc. (ATS) and Pacific Bell have agreed to co-market SimCall, a call simulation system designed to test call routing, charging and recording on a telephony carrier's switched network. The system maintains call rating information in databases designed to simulate switch system processing. With this simulation, SimCall can perform billing/network validations without using up actual network capacity. The system currently supports Northern Telecom DMS-100 and AT&T 1AESS and 5ESS switch types and runs on a stand alone, Unix based Pentium PC.
