CHECKFREE AND NORTHEAST UTILITIES OFFER E-BILLING

CheckFree Corporation and Northeast Utilities (NU), announced an agreement that will allow NU customers to visit a financial institution Web site to receive and pay bills electronically with their PCs using CheckFree's E-Bill service. The service will be available to 1.2 million subscribers in NU's New England electric utility system.
