MCLEODUSA AND CONSOLIDATED SIGN AGREEMENT

McLeodUSA Inc., and Consolidated Communications Inc. (CCI), signed a definitive Agreement and Plan of Merger. Consolidated Communications Systems and Services (CCSS), a systems and billing entity of CCI, will no longer be providing systems as an outside contractor. It will concentrate on the internal systems of McLeod's CLEC operations.
