ALLTEL, GTE SIGN CONTRACT EXTENSION

ALLTEL announced the extension of an existing contract with GTE Wireless Products and Services for outsourcing and technical support for customer care and billing in GTE's wireless markets. The two-year contact extension, which now goes through 2005, includes the use of Virtuoso II software in GTE's cellular and PCS markets.
