BELLCORE INTRODUCES INTERCONNECTION PRODUCT

Bellcore's new product, ServiceGate, is designed to provide a complete ordering gateway to enable electronic commerce between telcos. The new system electronically automates the exchange of transactions necessary for the resale of local services, and the implementation of network unbundling and LNP by providing access to OSS. The ServiceGate is designed to handle two-way traffic by creating and routing inquiries/orders (retailers) and receiving and processing inquiries/orders (wholesalers). The Wholesale Service Manager module is designed to provide secure, mediated access to a wholesaler's operation processes and information. ServiceGate runs under both the Unix and Windows operating systems.
