LNP ORDERING ADDED TO METASOLVS TBS

MetaSolv Software announced version 3.1 of Telecom Business Solution (TBS) software product line. The upgrade is designed to enable service providers to manage the details of providing Local Number Portability-based services. The mechanism used by providers to order porting information is Local Service Request (LSR) as defined by the Ordering & Billing Forum (OBF). The OBF is responsible for organizing the data required for the exchange of information for LNP. The LSR enables a service provider to inquire with another service provider about service availability or to request unbundled network elements. The new LSR module in TBS supports several LSR forms, including the Number Portability (NP) form. As each form for an LSR is completed, TBS LSR module is designed to automatically validate the form using OBF guidelines.
