SAP INTRODUCES ACCOUNTING AND LOGISTICS COMPONENTS

SAP AG's IS-T/FI-CA (financial accounting-contract accounting) and IS-T/ML (network element logistics) are based on SAP R/3 Release 4.0. IS-T/FI-CA is designed to allow companies to streamline open item and revenue management processes through more efficient parallel mass-processing of batch runs (such as posting, payments and dunning). The automatic treatment is achieved by decoupling the subledger and general ledger through summary-level posting. By specifying document transactions, the general ledger can be controlled in detail.
