ACE*COMM ANNOUNCES CONTRACT WITH BA FEDERAL

Bell Atlantic Federal has entered into an agreement with ACE*COMM to provide the NetPlus Enterprise Operations Support System (EOSS) and other products and services intended to upgrade existing government OSSs. The upgrade program is a U.S. Army initiative to cover 75 sites that have ACE*COMM systems in place. The contract covering the two initial sites is valued at more than $750,000. In other news, WinStar Communications will expand its current contract with ACE*COMM for back office services. The new order, valued at $900,000, is for expanding and modifying the company's mediation software designed to interface with and aggregate information from WinStar's network, which spans 24 cities and generates 30 million call detail records per month. Call records are collected via remote polling to a central point processor using a message collection system.
