BILLSERV.COM BEGINS OPERATIONS AND SIGNS FIRST CUSTOMER
Billserv.com Inc., a consolidator of Internet billing clearinghouse services, began operations in November and is trading on the NASDAQ OTC Bulletin Board under the symbol "BLLS." Market projections indicate that consumers will view and pay more than 1 billion bills through EBPP by 2001, increasing to more than 8 billion by 2007. Billserv.com has four projected revenue streams: Internet billing clearinghouse services, electronic publishing, Internet-enabled customer care and professional consulting services. Also, billserv.com has signed an exclusive three-year agreement with Holmes & Shaw Inc., a San Antonio, Texas-based print, mail and fulfillment firm, to provide EBPP services. Holmes & Shaw currently generates 3.5 million pages of print mail per month.
