CHECKFREE TO PROVIDE MCI WITH E-BILL PRODUCT

MCI WorldCom has agreed to use CheckFree’s E-Bill system so the carrier’s customers can receive and pay their bills over the Internet, CheckFree officials said. Subscribers using the system click to approve a bill for payment, and the amount of the bill is automatically deducted from a designated bank account. Users will also be able to view past bills or print them for future reference, company officials said. MCI WorldCom customers can also use On-line Account Manager to send an e-mail to customer service representatives on-line, handling all questions a customer may have right on the Web, company officials said.
