LHS DELIVERS TO SAUDI GLOBALSTAR

LHS Group Inc., and global partner Logica will deliver a customer care and billing system to Saudi Globalstar Operations Co. Ltd. (SGO), in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. SGO is licensed to provision mobile communications services over the Globalstar satellite network in the region. The new billing system will support Globalstar’s entry into the Saudi mobile communications market. Based on the latest version of LHS’ Business Support and Control System (BSCS), the new system will help SGO offer more sophisticated billing options to support a range of value-added services, LHS officials said. Meanwhile, LHS and Alcatel Telecom Software and Services, Paris, will deliver a customer care and billing system to The Egyptian Company for Mobile Services (MobiNil) in Cairo, Egypt. With LHS’ support, Alcatel is migrating the operator’s 400,000 subscribers from an earlier BSCS installation to BSCS version 5.21. MobiNil opted for the upgrade to offer new services to its growing GSM subscriber base. Financial terms were not disclosed.
