PORTAL, INTERTRUST JOIN FORCES

Portal Software and InterTrust Techonolgies Corp., a provider of digital rights management, will integrate Portal’s real-time customer management and billing system with InterTrust’s digital rights management (DRM) technology. Portal’s system is designed to manage accounts, including allocating and distributing funds back to the content provider. The DRM system is designed to provide secured content to consumers, fast distribution, usage tracking and flexible business rules. The companies will work toward developing an integrated system for financial and usage information in the entertainment, publishing and financial services markets.
