LHS Group Inc. announced that Fascel Ltd., a GSM operator in Gujarat, India, has selected LHS’ BSCS customer care and billing system to support its wireless service. BSCS will replace the existing customer care and billing system of EHPT India. Fascel currently has more than 50,000 subscribers and reports a 169 percent annual growth rate.
In other news, LHS has signed a three-year contract with Nextel International to upgrade six of the company’s installations to version 5.2.3 of BSCS from version 4.0.3. LHS will provide migration, development and on-site support. Nextel operates facilities in the Philippines, Mexico, Argentina, Brazil and Peru.
