Network Plus Inc. has selected the DSET suite of ezSubscribe systems designed to enable the CLEC to streamline the labor-intensive process of deciphering complex descriptions of telephone services in a customer service record (CSR), translating them into a readable format, and then producing a sales quote clearly comparing the CLEC’s offerings to a potential customer’s current services. Network Plus, a network-based integrated communications provider headquartered in Quincy, Mass., offers local and long-distance services, as well as enhanced, high-speed data and Internet services, primarily utilizing DSL technology. It serves small and medium-sized business customers in the northeastern and southeastern United States.
Meanwhile, Clarify Inc., a provider of front-office systems for the telecom industry, and DSET have partnered. The companies will integrate Clarify’s CommCenter and DSET’s ezTroubleAdministration gateway to allow exchange of customer data using the T1.227/228 and ITU X.790 standards. The integration is designed to enable sharing of customer support information such as service outages. The combined system is designed to support service delivery functions, such as access and local service requests (ASR/LSR), E911, directory services and number portability.
