Martin Dawes Systems (MDS), a developer of customer care and billing systems for the telecommunications industry, announced support for the Wireless Application Protocol (WAP) in its DISE customer care and billing system.
WAP is an open, global specification that is designed for mobile users with wireless devices to easily access and interact with information and services instantly.
MDS has developed a WAP customer service application that seamlessly integrates with DISE to allow a telecommunications company’s customers to check their account balance directly from WAP-enabled devices. DISE support for WAP will be generally available in both the United Kingdom and North America early in 2000.
