Illuminet Holdings Inc. and Quintessent Communications Inc. recently released interconnection software for carrier-to-carrier OSS mediation and e-commerce functionality. The companies will offer the product under a service bureau model.
Illuminet will use Quintessent’s Tele.Commerce e-bonding and e-commerce interfaces to provide mediated services such as number portability service, order administration and clearinghouse services. Illuminet, will handle SS7 and other intelligent network services.
