Three CLECs are merging to create elantic Communications Inc., a voice and data services provider to serve customers from Maine to Florida. As part of the merger, Cavalier Telephone Inc., Conversent Communications LLC and Florida Digital Network
Inc. will replace their disparate billing systems with the Aptis ICP billing platform. Cavalier Telephone has already switched to Aptis and will soon complete its first billing cycle on the system. FDN and Conversent—which has two older billing systems—plan to fire up the new system in October.
