PeopleSoft Inc. recently launched PeopleSoft 8 Internet e-business applications, offering browser-based access and open integration across enterprise boundaries.

PeopleSoft 8’s XML-based open integration capabilities are designed to enable organizations to combine PeopleSoft applications, such as CRM and supply chain management, with third-party applications to create an integrated enterprise. Companies will be able to track orders from the point of contact with customers whether via phone, fax, email, or the Web, through order management, procurement and fulfillment to service execution.

The company has also launched Customer Profitability Workbench, the first in its series of Internet e-business intelligence applications that turn business data into information for creating profitable customer relationships. The Customer Profitability Workbench is designed to leverage data from PeopleSoft’s CRM and ERP applications so that companies can identify their profitable customers, products and channels. Companies can analyze strategies to enhance their revenues, and fine-tune their sales and marketing programs.
