Portal Acquires Solution42

Portal Software bought German billing software company Solution42 for close to $290 million. Solution42 is a privately held voice mediation, provisioning and rating developer for wireless networks. Sources at Portal said the move would also enhance its Infranet billing platform with convergent 3G and 2.5G wireless technologies.
