OSS provider Stratus Technologies International plans to resume selling its telecom platforms. In 1998, Ascend Communications had acquired Stratus and made its enterprise technology business private, stipulating that Stratus could not compete in the industry. Lucent, which later bought Ascend, recently removed these contractual restrictions.
