Spirent Communications will combine its performance and fault management OSS with Redback Networks’ NetOp and SMS subscriber management system to offer a single, unified system to monitor service assurance from both the physical transport and logical layers. Service providers can use the technology to integrate alarm information from multiple layers and network element types and gain greater visibility into their networks to identify, locate and resolve problems faster and more accurately.
