Nortel Networks is offering integrated WWAN/WLAN technology that links hotspots with wireless devices operating on major wireless standards. Nortel’s offering will enable GSM, GPRS, UMTS and CDMA wireless operators to offer a single sign-on and seamless service between 2G/3G networks and wireless hotspots. Operators will also be able to provide consolidated billing, authentication and security without restructuring existing network architectures.
