BT is trying a “radical new plan,” according to press reports, by setting a ceiling of 10 pence (about 15 cents) on national and local business calls. The new rates will apply to all BT business customers, off-peak and peak, on calls lasting up to an hour. Called BT Business Plan, it is considered the most widely used wireline scheme in the United Kingdom. The plan is meant to create a sense of constancy in the minds of business people; they’ll never have to guess what a call might cost.
