Bharti Airtel Ltd. has selected Oracle Communications Network Integrity solution to help improve its network management and streamline its business operations.

Airtel is one of India’s leading integrated communications service providers and has an extensive national fiber-optic network. It expects to gain enterprise-wide visibility of its network assets by enabling the constant auditing of inventory data quality and providing a user-friendly mechanism to identify and reconcile data discrepancies using the Oracle solution.

The implementation will result in a full replacement of Airtel’s current manual processes for assessing and reconciling its network assets.

Airtel also will leverage improved data accuracy between the live network and the operational support systems (OSS) to improve service-provisioning capabilities and reduce errors.

The contract with Airtel extends a relationship in place since 1997 that supports the providers Service Delivery Platform. It includes Oracle’s Communications’ Service Fulfillment Suite, E-Business Suite, CRM, Fusion Middleware and Oracle Database solutions.

Airtel has more than 71 million customers and is expected to support 200 million customers by 2010.
