Tier One OSS Technologies said it has become the first independent software vendor of operations support systems to achieve Verizon Testing Partner status. Toronto-based TierOne is an OSS consulting, integration and technology specialist.
The certification is awarded to organizations that demonstrate an understanding and commitment to Verizon’s Systems Integration and Testing (SIT) expectations for product quality. TierOne OSS now joins companies such as Fujitsu Network Communications, Tellabs and Redback Networks.
The Verizon Testing Partner Program is part of Verizon’s Excellence Program, designed to accelerate the deployment of technology solutions and to reduce costs by eliminating redundant testing. To ensure consistent quality, Verizon’s Systems Integration and Testing (SIT) laboratories perform thorough product and system level reviews prior to deploying new technology solutions.
“The Verizon certification is extremely useful because it ensures that the processes that govern quality at TierOne are optimized,” said Neil Hansen, vice president of product development at TierOne OSS. “As a result, the quality testing and monitoring systems that TierOne has in place are very sophisticated, and are continually evaluated to maintain the very highest levels of quality.”
