Bharti Telesoft has announced an alliance with the MTN Group. The two will partner to deliver Multimedia Messaging Center (MMSC), Short Message Service Center (SMSC) and Wireless Application Protocol (WAP) Gateway solutions for all 21 MTN Operations.
Bharti Telesoft is a provider of integrated VAS solutions for mobile operators in emerging markets. The MTN Group is a provider of mobile services across Africa and the Middle East; it's a multinational telecommunications group, reaching more than 500 million people. It has more than 74 million subscribers.
As a part of the deal, Bharti Telesoft will be providing SMSC, including its SMS Router and mGateway solutions, as well as MMSC and WAP Gateway solutions – solutions that Bharti Telesoft gained via its acquisition of Jataayu Software.
