Testing giant IneoQuest Technologies Inc., today announced VeriFrame, a new video content verification technology that’s incorporated into the vendor’s new iCMS video content management software and Cricket FrameGrabber hardware probes.
VeriFrame’s distributed video verification technology, Ineoquest contends, enables operators, content providers, broadcasters and equipment makers to efficiently capture, monitor, audit and verify baseband content, which is crucuial to validating the subscriber’s video experience.
The conversion from analog to digital video distribution creates content verification challenges for video service providers and equipment manufacturers, according to IneoQuest. These challenges include validating baseband video and audio quality 24/7, as well as auditing when, where and how content played.
“IneoQuest’s new VeriFrame technology provides us with a simpler and more cost-effective means of monitoring our video content,” said, Shane Broyles, central office manager of Rural Telephone, in prepared comments. “We now have the ability to validate the content we receive at our headend, ensuring we are only distributing quality content to our subscribers. This technology also enables us to centrally verify — across multiple locations — exactly what our subscribers are viewing. In essence, VeriFrame allows us to affordably extend our NOC to the desktop.”
