Validas Inc. has announced that former Sprint and Nextel CIO Richard LeFave has joined the company as senior advisor of technology. In that role, LeFave will help to guide Validas’ product management and business development efforts.

LeFave brings more than 30 years of executive management experience in the telecommunications industry to Validas, having held senior management positions with New England Telephone, Nextel Communications and most recently with Sprint. LeFave retired earlier this year after overseeing the information technology merger of Sprint and Nextel as CIO. In 2007, Oracle Magazine named Mr. LeFave its CIO of the year for successfully navigating the companies through this effort.

"We are excited to add such a prestigious and valuable individual to the Validas team," said Tom Pepe, CEO for Validas. "It is a great validation of our message, approach and product to win the support of someone with Mr. LeFave's knowledge, experience and tremendous skills."

"In my opinion, Validas is helping to solve the biggest problems plaguing today's wireless industry," said LeFave. "Its ability to reduce rate plan confusion, instill customers with confidence in their services, drive loyalty and optimize wireless expenditures is impressive. Further, its technology is practical and effective. Given these factors, and the company's energetic management, I am looking forward to helping Validas along the road to great success."
