Blueslice Networks has sold its Subscriber Data Management platform, the CSP 3000, to Unify Mobile, a Dutch holding company that will start activities with one of its mobile operations in Switzerland, in&phone.
The platform includes an SIP-enabled next generation home location registry (ngHLR,) a home subscriber server (HSS) and a AAA server, bundled into one fully integrated solution. Together with Blueslice’s advanced low-cost routing solution, the platform can offer subscribers new roaming features and significantly reduce or eliminate roaming charges. It also will allow end-users to have a single subscription in the ngHLR, containing multiple identities in several countries or area codes. in&phone’s subscribers will be seen as “local” by the network and can roam across borders on multiple networks without paying roaming surcharges.
in&phone will use Blueslice’s ngHLR-based Fixed Mobile Convergence solution to allow subscribers to roam between GSM/UMTS and IP networks.
“in&phone, like many carriers are faced with the challenges of modernizing aging networks while maintaining a high level of service at value prices. Blueslice is pleased to play a central role in this strategy,” said Stephan Ouaknine, president and CEO of Blueslice Networks.
