Hewlett-Packard Co. is heading to the land of fragrant cuisine and ancient temples: Its newly reorganized telecom-focused division will deploy a next generation OSS platform in Thailand, for mobile operator DTAC.

HP’s consulting services and back-office software will be trained on improving customer service, including achieving first-call resolution 70 percent of the time.

DTAC will use various pieces from HP, including:

  • HP TeMIP, HP Network Node and HP Operations Manager, to provide automated, centralized fault-detection and management for all network elements
  • HP Performance Insight, to monitor the network and shift capacity where needed
  • HP Universal Configuration Management Database, a repository for network performance and repair data on all incidents
  • HP Service Manager, which automates trouble ticketing and help desk response
  • HP COSMOS, a reference library of methodologies, best practices and intellectual property gained from more than 400 OSS deployments worldwide
