Amdocs has announced it will support the OSS requirements of Instituto Costarricense de Electridad (ICE), Costa Rica's national service provider of energy and telecommunications. ICE will implement Amdocs CES – Cramer OSS 7.5 products to support all of its OSS needs, including planning, inventory and discovery, provisioning and activation, trouble ticketing, service fulfillment and service impact analysis.
ICE selected Amdocs OSS through a public bid according to Costa Rican legal requirements. The Amdocs OSS suite of products will replace ICE’s existing legacy network-facing systems for its wireless and wireline networks.
Amdocs will work on this project together with a consortium led by General Business Machines (GBM), an IBM Alliance Company. GBM will provide project management and coordination of complimentary services provided by other subcontractors.
