DigitalRoute says it has successfully deployed its MediationZone solution for Afghan Wireless Communication Company (AWCC), Afghanistan’s largest wireless service provider.

DigitalRoute says MediationZone was chosen for its flexible and future-proof architecture, ease of implementation and maintenance, and low cost of ownership. It has a deployment time from order to production of less than three months.

MediationZone integrates AWCC’s multi-vendor GSM and GPRS network and service platforms with its BSS environment, enabling online and offline convergent charging of services such as voice, SMS, MMS, and data. In addition, MediationZone enables AWCC to comply with the new roaming regulation standard NRTDRE, which enables roaming information to be exchanged in near-real time, empowering service providers to instantly detect fraudulent usage.

AWCC is the largest private employer in Afghanistan.
