Convergys Stresses Catalog, System Integration

Convergys Corp. is at the B/OSS Conference & Expo this week, sharing insights on the importance of integrating product and service catalogs with billing and fulfillment systems to deliver a superior service experience. Conference attendees can visit Convergys at booth 1206 during exhibit hours over the three-day conference and attend a Convergys panel discussion on April 14.

Speaking on “Elevating the Product Catalog,” Convergys’ Mary Ann Tillman will participate in a panel discussion on implementing a product lifecycle that touches nearly every aspect of the business. It calls for a new approach to catalog management. Tillman is director of product marketing for Convergys’ Information Management line of business.

According to Tillman, the product catalog should be a fundamental element in all operators’ product and market strategies, as it determines what they can sell, to whom, for what price and under what terms. It also dictates how quickly an operator can introduce new products and manage product change. With so many operators struggling to differentiate, she notes, a focus on cost-effective service solutions to improve the customer experience will improve retention and the consumer’s likelihood to purchase again.

Convergys is also exhibiting at the conference, showcasing a range of solutions, including its:

  • Real-Time Convergent Charging Solution, which monetizes content-related offers and enhanced services across all subscriber types
  • Product Lifecycle Management Solution, which rapidly creates and merchandizes offers and packages across multiple systems
  • Customer & Order Management Solution, which is specifically designed and tailored to help the communications industry with subscriber order management and shopping
