A junior Congressman from New York is waging a war against cable giant Time Warner (TWC).
Eric Massa, a Democrat from Rochester, called Time Warner Cable’s new unlimited download, $150-per-month plan “AIG-style greed” and said he won’t stand for it. The Congressman plans to introduce a bill that would prevent ISPs from capping download limits.
Time Warner Cable isn’t the first operator to consider implementing such caps – AT&T Inc. (T) and others are testing similar tiers in certain markets.
Looks like we have ourselves a modern-day, telecom-style David v. Goliath situation on our hands.
