In these days of Conficker worms, Russian mobs and others just drooling at the thought of getting inside your computer, it’s nice to know that Microsoft has developed the most secure version of Windows XP ever. And it’s just become available.
However, unless you’re in the Air Force, you won’t have access to it.
Microsoft’s specially configured system is expected to save the federal government up to $100 million in maintenance, reconfiguration and security challenges. The hope is that offerings specially developed for the government eventually will be available to the general public.
