A European Tier 1 operator has chosen Sunrise Telecom’s SunLite GigE, the company’s newest Ethernet test solution. The operator will use it for the installation and maintenance of its next generation Ethernet network in an agreement that will exceed $1 million.
Sunrise Telecom's SunLite GigE will be used by field technicians and engineers who may not be experienced with emerging Metro Ethernet technologies and who need an easy-to-use solution for Ethernet and IP testing anywhere in the network. The SunLite GigE was reportedly chosen by the management team because navigating the User Interface is extremely easy and allows the field engineers to become productive quickly.
Available in two configurations, a loopback only device and a unit featuring full traffic generation, the full-featured unit can test 10/100/1000 electrical, 100/1000 optical Ethernet, and IP circuits. The rugged tester fits well within field tool budgets and is designed to be fully interoperable with all of Sunrise Telecom's Ethernet testers, as well as others in the market, making it an economical addition to any test equipment arsenal.
