Microsoft Corp. has added a special porn domain, explicit.bing.com, to its brand-new search engine, in an effort to make filtering questionable content easier.
Bing has been getting flak from those concerned about its ability to show full-motion live-action porn feeds, right from the Bing site, within its video results. The feature eludes such precautions as parental controls, home content filters like that from Norton Security, and even workplace security tools, making it a headache for businesses and concerned parents alike.
Now, all adult content-related search results will go to the special domain area. "Potentially explicit images and video content will now be coming from a separate, single domain," blogged Bing general manager Mike Nichols. That way, a business or parent can block the whole domain.
