EXFO Electro-Optical Engineering Inc. has signed an original equipment manufacturing agreement with BRIDGE Technologies of Oslo, Norway. The agreement means EXFO becomes BRIDGE’s exclusive triple-play service assurance partner.
The companies also will jointly develop and promote new technologies for end-to-end video quality monitoring targeted to telcos, multiple-service operators (MSOs) and satellite network operators.
The BRIDGE Technologies video monitoring and measurement probes will be integrated into EXFO’s Brix System, a strategic active and passive service assurance platform for IP service and application quality. As part of the Brix System, the BRIDGE Technologies products will help EXFO deliver the most complete solution for end-to-end IP video service assurance for all types of IP video, including IPTV, streaming video and over-the-top video, offering telcos and MSOs one system for assuring the quality of all triple-play services.
