Telesur has chosen Comptel Provisioning and Activation to centralize and automate its order-to-activation process. Eliminating the service provider’s manual entry system, Comptel says the solution will make it easier to provision subscribers and services, and deliver increased efficiencies in the process.
Telesur, which is owned by the Suriname government, has been the incumbent operator in that country since 1973. It offers local and international, fixed and mobile telephony, Internet and data services throughout the nation. Over the past couple of years, Suriname’s telecommunications environment has opened up to competing operators that offer GSM services.
Comptel Provisioning and Activation enables operators to fully automate the process of handling subscriber orders to activate services in the network – all to the start of billing. It bridges the gap between service providers’ customer care, sales and complex network platforms, and facilitates the rapid introduction of services or changing network element technologies.
