Comptel Corp. has announced that it has signed a Technology Alliance Partnership Agreement with Juniper Networks to deliver an automated fulfillment solution for Carrier Ethernet services orders.
Fulfilment for Carrier Ethernet services enables service providers to create and maintain Layer 2 services across their networks. When combined with fulfillment for IP VPN services, the result is a highly compelling solution that enables providers to quickly and efficiently create the underlying fabric required to deliver high value Layer 2 and Layer 3 IP-based services to both their consumer and business customers, according to the companies. The combined Comptel and Juniper solution, based on proven Comptel Fulfillment technology, enables communication service providers (CSPs) to take advantage of the cost, scale, and flexibility improvements that Ethernet offers across metropolitan, national and international networks.
Leveraging the Comptel Dynamic OSS suite of software, fulfillment for Carrier Ethernet services meets the challenge of quickly and efficiently setting up and maintaining both point-to-point (E-LINE) and multipoint-to-multipoint (E-LAN) connections across multi-technology, multivendor, Ethernet-based networks, according to Comptel. The solution incorporates Comptel Order Management, Comptel Service Inventory and Comptel Provisioning and Activation.
