Bridgewater Systems will support Bell Mobility’s national HSPA rollout with Service Controller and Subscriber Data Broker. The wireless network, which launched last week, is the largest and fastest in Canada.

The Bridgewater Service Controller securely authorizes and authenticates subscribers and provides critical accounting functions also known as AAA services (authentication, authorization and accounting.) The system is currently deployed in over 140 service providers globally.

It allows service providers to scale mobile data services and manage billions of mobile data transactions. It has new streaming media, mobile office and location-based services that can be provisioned, modified, and personalized using a unified, real-time subscriber data management solution.

Stephen Howe, chief technology officer at Bell Mobility, said the company is committed to providing Canadians with the broadest choice in high-speed wireless services and devices and is proud to work with leading technology companies such as Bridgewater to deliver superior and personalized mobile services to our consumer and enterprise customers.

Of Bell Mobility’s selection of the Bridgewater Service Controller and Subscriber Data Broker, David Sharpley, senior vice president of Bridgewater Systems said, “This win validates our expertise in providing a common subscriber data management, service and policy control platform across technologies."
