Two companies that specialize in IP services for carriers are merging to provide a one-stop wholesale shop.
Dash Carrier Services and Vixxi Solutions Inc., both based in central Colorado, made the announcement on Tuesday.
Dash helps VoIP and other service providers roll out E911, CNAM, 411 and directory listing services. Vixxi concentrates on E911 platforms. Dash and Vixxi already were partnering on a number of deployments; combining assets means the companies’ customers don’t have to work through two separate entities.
A merger also strengthens Dash and Vixxi’s financials, although the privately held firms did not disclose the value of the deal. However, Justin Nelson, CEO of Dash, said in a prepared statement that the transaction extends synergies between Dash and Vixxi, “and allows both companies to move forward as a streamlined, fortified unit with the resources to reach a larger, global carrier audience. We are financially stable and profitable, and will hit the ground running.”
Dash and Vixxi will sell under their respective brands until operations are integrated into a “Dash corporate umbrella” in 2010, a press release said.
Nelson will retain his role as senior executive of the combined company. Vixxi’s president and CEO, Christopher Camut, will serve on the Dash board of directors.
