It seems just about every phone maker is being sued this week over accusations of copyright violation or patent infringement. The latest is Palm, which Artifex Software claims copied its PDF rendering engine, skipped licensing conditions and integrated it into its own PDF viewer application on the Pre.
The suit was filed in federal court in California. The Palm Pre hit store shelves in June and is exclusive to the Sprint network in the U.S.
