Blueslice Networks has been chosen as the evolved Subscriber Data Management (eSDM) solution provider for Numerex, a single-source provider of secure machine-to-machine (M2M) products and services.
Numerex enables customers to implement their own secure and scalable M2M solutions to a multitude of markets. Numerex’s open platform, Numerex FAST, simplifies and speeds up the whole M2M solution development and deployment process. It provides customers with the optimal combination of Device, Network and Application, aka Numerex DNA, according to the company.
Berg Insight estimates that the number of cellular network connections worldwide used for machine-to-machine communication will grow at a compound annual growth rate of 25.6 percent, up to 187.1 million connections, in 2014. Blueslice has been focusing on this segment for a long time, adding a number of M2M specific customizations to the device management component of its eSDM solution set. Moreover, Blueslice says its eSDM solution is the only one on the market that can manage devices connected to multiple access networks, including 2G (GSM, GPRS, EDGE), 3G (UMTS, HSPA, IMS), 4G (LTE, WiMAX) and VoIP (Wireline, WiFi) domains, simultaneously.
“With millions of in-field devices being activated globally on a daily basis, Blueslice Networks’ eSDM solution is at the forefront of helping M2M service providers manage the impact of such growth on their core platforms,” said Stephan Ouaknine, president & CEO, Blueslice Networks.
“Our partnership with Blueslice networks underscores our commitment to delivering extremely reliable, efficient, and secure end-to-end offerings to our customers,” said Dr. Jeff Smith, Numerex’s chief technology officer.
