CHR Solutions has acquired Western Datapro Inc., an Oregon-based billing and customer care provider to telecommunications companies. CHR says the purchase enhances its position delivering Software as a Service (SaaS) to its software solutions clients and improves its ootprint in the Pacific Northwest, while adding a fourth data center to its cloud computing capabilities.

For 20 years, Western Datapro has provided highly integrated billing and customer care solutions to telecommunications companies in the Pacific Northwest, and currently uses CHR’s Martin OMNIA software platform. CHR will continue to provide services to companies that were shareholders as well as clients of Western Datapro.

Keith Galitz, president of client Canby Telephone and a shareholder in Western Datapro, said, “We are pleased at CHR’s commitment to continue the same levels of superior local service, in addition to the many business and engineering services it offers.”

Jim Odom, president of CHR’s Software Solutions business unit, said, “By incorporating this first-class SaaS offering into our portfolio of services, CHR extends its market by offering clients two options: contracted billing and customer care managed services, or purchased software solutions platforms. This new offering not only enhances CHR’s delivery capabilities but supports clients as they seek ways to enhance the customer experience.”

The Oregon-based delivery team will continue to be led by Cyndie Hobart, who reports directly to Odom. “This acquisition benefits our clients, our employees, and I’m thrilled to be managing the Software as a Service business practice,” Hobart said.
