CTIA Wireless — AGNITY announced today that Marcatel, a full-service provider of video, voice and data telecommunications services in Mexico, has selected AGNITy’s prepaid solution to launch Bienvenidos, Local Services and Calling Card Services throughout the Mexican market.
With the increasingly high customer demand for prepaid services in Mexico, Marcatel is expanding its prepaid offerings. Bienvenidos will be implemented on the AGNITY ACONYX Prepaid Applications Suite, which offers a converged credit control solution for next-generation voice and data networks. This will enable Marcatel to focus on creating a new generation of voice and data applications. Bienvenidos service provides a prepaid-based residential phone and Internet service for rural markets using DECT technology. The service requires creation of advanced prepaid offerings for end users.
Most significantly, AGNITY ACONYX framework provides a Service Creation Environment (SCE), enabling Marcatel to independently develop prepaid service scenarios and marketing offers with a variety of call flows without the need for any third-party developers. The carrier-grade, IP-based platform enables rapid deployment of new prepaid applications and services to customers.
